Kateřina Šedá lives and works in Brno, Czech Republic. Her work consists of social projects and public actions where location, the quotidian and individual storytelling come into play. She often tries to create an exchange, or to encourage communication between people in their everyday spaces. Through her social investigation, she explores urban planning, everyday life and politics. Her projects have been realised both in the Czech Republic and internationally, and she has published more than thirty books and publications, mapping each project. Kateřina Šedá studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague from 1999 to 2005.
